Applied English Linguistics Chair: Prof. Dr. Kurt Kohn
The Applied English Linguistics group at the University of Tübingen focuses on language learning & teaching with corpora and eLearning technologies, bilingual education (CLIL), English as a lingua franca, intercultural communication as well as translation and interpreting.
Our course programme offers courses in these areas and teaching focuses on issues at the discourse level.
The Applied English Linguistics group closely cooperates with the Steinbeis Transfer Center Sprachlernmedien / Language Learning Media. Based on the authoring tool Telos Language Partner and the open source eLearning platform Moodle, the Steinbeis Center offers integrated eLearning and blended language learning solutions for schools, universities, adult education and companies.
